Text Box: Our thoughts and prayers are with the Edward Kenny and Allie Wooley families. May your memories comfort you.
Text Box: Remember when four board members were recalled in February 2007...

Well, one of the recalled ‘un-fab four’ was Trustee Kris Phillips. Her husband also lost his attempt to be re-elected as Supervisor in the August 2008 Primary.

Recalled Trustee Phillips is the Petitioner of the current effort to recall Supervisor Nephew.
Here is her reason for the recall: “Julia Nephew, Supervisor of Billings Text Box: Township, is not performing her supervisory duties, in enforcing zoning ordinances.”

The reason to recall does not have to be true, but the language used in the reason must be clear. We believe the reason should be true.

We will be interviewing Julia Nephew on the validity of the reason and continue this report in the October issue of TEE.

Text Box: More on last months article... We had hoped to continue our ‘License to Steal’ report on the overpayment of property taxes by 8 property owners. But the Board ‘tabled’ discussion on returning the overpayment at the August 9, 2010 meeting until this month’s 9/13/10 meeting.
More on last month’s board meeting… Also supposedly ‘tabled’ until this month’s meeting was discussion on how much to charge (FINE) property owners in the Sewer Assessment District (SAD) that are not hooked up. Surprise! A Special Meeting was held two days later on 8/11/10. Three of five board members voted to ‘FINE’ owners $500.00. They are the Clerk, Treasurer and Trustee Grell. Supervisor Nephew voted ‘no’. Trustee Kross was absent.
